"Without a doubt, Cloud is very much here to stay. It is no longer being viewed as new and many companies, who were previously reluctant to consider Cloud, are now looking closely at what Cloud Managed Services can do for them.” says Steven Goldblatt, managing director of Leaf, one of Ireland’s leading Cloud suppliers, “Some have started to dip their toe in the water with services such as placing their email exchange in the Cloud, whilst others have simply jumped right in.”

Old concerns such as continuity of service and security are gradually being eroded. Clients are now realising the benefits of not having so much infrastructure on site. A good example of this is should a server fail at a client’s premises they have to wait for an engineer to arrive and pray they have both the expertise and the replacement parts to fix it. One of the benefits of placing such services in the Cloud means that round-the-clock, state-of-the-art security and technical support are available on-site at all times. “The irony now is that the level of security, the access to the most up-to-date software and the levels of technical support available are now much higher through a hosted Cloud service than most companies can afford at their own premises,” commented Goldblatt.

Leaf has a wealth of experience deploying Cloud Managed Services for clients, including law firms, accountants, construction companies and recruitment agencies, and can advise on the best way forward to suit a company’s individual needs. More and more businesses are turning to specialists such as Leaf to help them determine their exact requirements and identify how moving to the Cloud can save them money and improve productivity.

A testimony to Leaf’s Cloud expertise is the fact that Microsoft chose them to be one of only four partners in Ireland to roll out Office 365. Leaf is also an Advanced IBM Partner and a Cisco Premier Partner.
